Hi , I turned my Xbox on and I got a error saying ( your parent account is invalid) first time ever and iv been on xbox for 5 years , so I went through the steps with my parents to set up a new parent email and when I press confirm it's said , (Xbox live signup is currently unavailable. Please try again later.) what do I do now :(

clear system cache and that should fix your issue, here is link on how to do it, you dont have to be signed into an account to do it, here is link:support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

that should fix your issue, i always recommend doing this once a month at least.

if that doesnt work please come back and lets us know, thanks and hang in there youll get it.

it did not work for me it continues to say Xbox live signup is currently unavailiable

i got the same thing and I cleared the system cache and it did not work so now what do I do?

i think xbox are having an update at the moment as i have same issue and google search came up with something similar in november 2013.

Exact same problem as the original questioner. Old parent account became invalid and tried to add a new one but got the same error message. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

i have this problem at first i thought the servers where down but im on my third day and i got off the phone with support and they couldnt help either someone please help.

I got the same thing and I dont know how to fix it and I cant play xbox live and I just got the xbox for my birthday and I just bought a year of xbox live and it was a rip off because now my account doesnt work!!

I also had this issue after downloading the latest update. I deleted my profile, cleared the cache on everything connected to the xbox,deleted the update and reformatted my drive. When it restarted it downloaded the update again then i downloaded my profile and it finally worked. Hope this helps everyone also.
