Xbox Live connection is terrible all of the sudden!!

So lately I've been trying to play Black Ops and I get host every game and everyone has a terrible connection. Before everyone had a great connection and it was all fine. I have a hard wired connection to my Xbox so I have no idea what the problem is. I reset my modem, reset my internet settings to factory defaults and tested my xbox live connection and its still bad. Any help?

Hello Core Impulse! Would you be able to supply us with a bit more information about your issue? Does this only occur in Black Ops, or other games as well? Also, can you provide the information listed in the Start Here sticky (forums.xbox.com/.../155724.aspx) so that we can better understand your network configuration, and what the console is seeing. Thanks!
