ok this might be hard to help me with bu ti would aprreciate any help i can get, about 2 years ago i got rid of my 360 deciding i didnt want to game due to exams and irl pressures (job commitment ect) but now i want an xbox 360 back, i went to recover my gamertag and when entering the WLID it gave me a message saying my account was invalid. so i created a new account and checked to see if my old gt was free and it is taken, so im assuming that its still my account but how do i gain it back? any help will be very much appriciated.

also bearing in mind back in the day i spent alot of hours and money on achieving high gs buying map packs and extra game content ect.. i really would like my account back.

call support for your region and they should be able to help you out.

ok thanks for the reply i have found some new information, found that i have been recieving emails from xbox the most recent being 18th may 2011, this however is a @mac.com account which isnt a windows live id obviously so have microsoft made anychanges over the years to make people change to a WLID? im pretty sure i used my @mac.com account to set it up otherwise i wouldn't have previous billing information from microsoft in my inbox? would you still suggest i contact support for my area? any help you can give would be appriciated thanks in advance

yes

by registering the .mac addaress at live.com you can use it as your windows live id also makes sure you use the live services

 create a new account

use existing email

viola

make sure you keep your contact info upto date and password reset proccess

this also ensures you have a password reset proccess as some people do not use real contact info

 secret question and a secret answer

plus a trust pc or phone number

great backup incase you lose your email

it said my account is ivialid a TeamMcKillin so i made a free TeamMcKillin1 account but they have the same password and my TeamMcKillin account doesnt expier till 2012
