Console Broke. Data Transfer?

Hello, my Xbox 360 Arcade (the old ones) recently broke, and I'm looking to buy an Xbox 360 slim. I still have my old hard drive and it is in perfect condition with all my data. So, my question is, will I be able to transfer the data to this new console? How? Will I keep all of my old data including profile, friends, and game saves?

Your friends are based on your profile, so those are fine. Your data should all either Copy or Move to the new console, though there are a few games that bind things to the actual console ID. Those may not work after the transfer.
