Cant sighn in after up date

This issue can actually occur if you have tampered or modified your Xbox console. Is this the case?

what do you mean tampered? my xbox broke the hard drive went out on it i had it repaired/replaced nothing more no mods flash mods or any crazieness of that sort........so your telling me im banned from xbox live for haveing my xbox repaired a xbox i might add thats was no longer under warranty?

BS Mythos. I signed in this morning. Thing prompted me to update, when through it's download and install, then I got: Update failed. A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently unavailable.

Error C810-1012 indicates the DVD drive has been modified which is preventing the system update from installing. If you undo the DVD modifications then the system update will complete without error.

If you purchased the console used, then a previous owner modified the drive. Unfortunatelly, the console is not supported for repair due to tampering.

I see you already stated you had your DVD drive repaired. Unfortunately, the repair was performed by an unauthorized repair center that installed an unsupported DVD drive. The Xbox LIVE terms of use clearly states that you agree that you have not performed an unathorized repair.

This is total BS this crfap i understand not wanteding hackers after the whole PS3 thing but you have no idea how manty people you just screwed if im gonna have to pay a new system which would be a great strain on my pocket at this time i  buying a PS3 i know you dont care as im just 1 person but the playstaion network is gonna be super nice now and its freethis is just a moneny grab plan and simple

dude im having the same F*** problem my dvd drive mad a crunching noise and it wouldnt play any games or movies and so i got it repaired and it worked fine until today when i get a big fat @@@ error code saying this and now from what i read from you i got banned from somthing i was didnt do ? and my xbox hasent been modded or anything just got it fixed casue the people at xbox cant make a machine work properly :/ the is FBS

my disc drive was broken due to xbox poor quality, also had ring of death (xbox is only 4 years old) my xbox was no longer under warranty, so i took it to the shop for repair, (alot cheaper than the microsoft repair) which was nearly the price of a new console.

now we cant update XBOX YOU ARE A JOKE
