Can I connect my Siberia V2 Cross-Platform headset to XBox One?

I've read that even though the chat portion of most 3rd party headsets won't work with the XBox One due to the new style of port on the controller, but that the in-game audio will still work. I bought a SteelSeries Siberia V2 Cross-Platform headset a few months ago and love it, so I'd really like to be able to use it with my new XB1. The problem is, this headset connected the TV and the XBox via the white and red audio jacks (the headset jacks plugged directly into the TV and the jacks for the XBox plugged into the top of those jacks for the headset), and to the console through USB, but the XBox One connects to the TV through an HDMI cable, so I can't figure out how to set this up so that the in-game audio comes through the headset. I've found an optical audio adaptor online that looks like it'd fix my problem, but since it's listed for the 360 I don't know if it would work on XBox One too? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a SteelSeries V2 (the one that has 2 3.5mm ends) and I have gotten it to work along with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter and a Headset Splitter Adapter like this one www.amazon.com/.../ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00, I tried plugging the mic into the adapter and headphones into the tv/xbox but I didn't have good results until I bought the splitter adapter too.

Helf yu. How did you get it to work? What settings do you use? I have the sane headset and adapter but for some reason I cant get the mic to work, everything else works fine.

I heard that Siberia V2 is only compatible with the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Mac. Not sure if it will work with adapter. The new generation of headsets compatible for Xbox One doesnt include Siberia. See here:  www.headphonesunboxed.com/best-xbox-one-headset
