Call of duty, entering game lobbies and staying in them issues!

Ok well, ive been calling the xbox support people alot for help and they cant seem to do much for me because this issue is kind of rare i guess, so im gonna ask if anyone here might be having the same issue or may have some helpful solutions!

For starters, my internet connection works just fine, i connect to xbox live just fine also. I test my connection and it always connects, ive been to speedtest.net and i have tested my internet speed and my ping to see if its good enough and its just fine! There is nothing blocking my modem and my xbox because they are about 15 feet apart, only air is in the way!

Now as far as the game, i just bought the disk 2 days ago, so i dont think there are any issues with that. I can play live on halo 3, but i just cant for call of duty. I do not understand what the problem is. 

If anyone didnt get what the problem is, the problem is that i cant play call of duty on xbox live for some reason, i try to join a game and it either takes FOREVER to join, and by forever i mean never, or it just disconnects. 

I can play live on other games such as halo 3, but even in the past, call of duty modern warfare 2 didnt work for me either. 

Someone help? please? suggestions?

Hey mate, which CoD title are you using? I ask because, if you're playing an older version (such as CoD4), there simply may not be that many users online. I see you've tested Halo 3, but what other games have you tried without issue? Lastly, have you tried a direct wired connection to the modem, to see if that resolves the issue?

hey man and its call of duty black ops, and i havent tried the hardline connection, i dont think thats the issue. i called activision and they said it might be the port number that deals with the game and my router, so im gonna give that a shot and see if that might fix it
