Internet Explorer Script error ‘Object doesn't support this action’ when click on "Restore my Active Desktop” at Windows startup.

Let’s follow these methods & check if it helps.

Method 1

You may delete the desktop.htt file & check if the issue persists.

 a) Click on My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System files and Folders are showing / visible.
 b) Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option.
 c) Now search for desktop.htt file and delete it 

Note: Windows will recreate a fresh one. Close Windows Explorer, and then refresh your desktop.

Method 2

You may also check for entry labeled "DeskHtmlVersion" and change the number in the "Value data" box to "0" under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\Components from Registry Editor.
