Windows 8 Video App - Cannot play because the item's usage rights are no longer valid

I have uninstalled the Windows 8 Video App, rebooted the computer, reinstalled the Windows 8 Video App, rebooted the computer, downloaded content I just purchased (literally a day ago) and I still cannot play anything directly from the Video App.

I can stream video from shows I have purchased, but my connection is not the best so downloaded is a preferred method.  Additionally, if I go into the folders through the desktop and double click the show I just downloaded, it will open the Video App and play without issue.

This is true for ALL shows that I bought through the Video App store and XBox Video.  I have contacted support and their response was that this is a known issue with usage rights, but I am curious if (a) anyone else on here is having the same issue, and (b) if anyone has got the Video App to work like it should?

Thank you ahead of time,
