Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 function keys don't work in XP Mode.

Original Title: Using Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 with Virtual XP Workaround?

I use Windows 7 Pro and also XP Pro on that system in Virtual PC mode. I bought a Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 keyboard / mouse and just discovered that the function keys don't work in Virtual XP mode. How can I work around that?

Make sure you push the "F" Lock key thats located next to the function keys

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!  I was wondering why Alt-F9 never worked for toggling field codes in Word.

Too funny that I missed it all this time.  Hope it helped others too!

Hi KenTechNerd2,

Install keyboard driver for the XP Mode. That should do the trick.

Find the driver here:
