I have a Dell XPS 15 laptop, and I've had it for about a year now. I've had an issue lately where I cannot uninstall or reinstall any programs on the computer. No matter what I try, and no matter what program I try, I get the same error, 2753. I read online
that entering regsvr32 vbscript.dll in to the command prompt should fix this problem; it does not. I don't know what to try next.
EDIT: Upon further investigation, it appears that it's deleting 99% of the program when I try to uninstall, but for some reason it cannot finish the job. What's going on, and how to I fix it?
EDIT 2: Ran Microsoft's Fix It Utilities Uninstaller to get around the fact that a typical uninstall didn't work. This has succeeded in removing program from the list of programs, but all the program files are still there.
