Hi marilyn db,

The following suggestion may be worth looking at. Note that you will have to run through the media center setup again to fix this issue.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the windows help article below.

Back up the registry

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Back-up-the-registry

Steps to follow:

a.    Uninstall PlayReady from the 'Programs and Features' Refer: Uninstall or change a program

b.    Turn off Windows Media Center. See:  Turn Windows features on or off

c.    Enable the explorer to show hidden files and folders. Read: Show hidden files.

d.    Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\ and delete eHome and PlayReady folders.

e.    Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM and delete all files and folders underneath (don't delete the DRM directory itself)

f.     Open the registry with elevated privileges. To do so, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt and then point to “Run as administrator”. In the command prompt that opens, type regedit.exe.

g.    Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft and delete the DRM  key.

h.    Restart the computer.

i.     Reinstall Windows Media Player from “Programs and Features”. Follow these steps.Turn Windows features on or off. This should also regenerate the DRM keys for your machine.

j.     Run Windows Media Center setup. See: Getting started with Windows Media Center

k.    Run the PlayReady install from inside Media Center. See: Set up a TV signal in Windows Media Center

That should be it.
