Win10 "Windows Update" - No controls appear on Settings page

I am trying to check automatic updates on Windows 10.

I get a big white space where the "Check for updates" and "Advanced Options" buttons would normally be.  The Windows 10 troubleshooter for automatic updates says it cannot detect a problem.

Any ideas how I can restore the buttons on the Settings page?

Use the Following tutorial to  Reset Windows updates completely and check if it helps:

Reset Windows updates

Make sure to run the script as an administrator.
