Windows did not detect any networking hardware after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1

After upgrading both my Toshiba & HP Windows 8.1 Laptop -

I got an error " Windows did not detect any networking hardware ". Both LAN & WiFi devices are in Device Manager, working prior to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1

I had the same issue.  Rolled back to Windows 8.1.  Uninstalled the Cisco VPN client installed.  Upgrading to 10 again with no issues.
