Cant connect 1&1 email address to Windows mail

Hi, Can someone halp?

I'm unable to connect my 1&1 email address (required for work) to Windows Mail. It lets me set up the account then I immediately get an error message saying my account settings are out of date. when I click fix it tells me the password is incorrect (it isn't) and encourages me to retype a password. I type the correct one again and it looks fixed but still doesn't connect then after a few seconds the error message pops up again and the same thing happens? I'm unable to manually add the imap detailsHas anyone had success with this?
