I cannot copy and paste in Word after upgrading to Windows 8

I cannot copy and paste in Word after upgrading to Windows 8. I can still do that in Outlook. I really hope that Windows 8 would succeed. This is too big a flaw to observe in the Release Preview. Please fix this and release an update. Thanks!

What happens when you copy and paste, do you get any error message or Word freezes?
Are you using the shortcut to copy and paste (Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V)?
Does this issue occur with particular document or all the documents?
Verify if the issue persists when you open a blank Word document and then try to copy and paste.
