New Office 365 Admin Portal

Hi

I was using the preview of the new Office portal for a few months but lately I can't seem to use it.

When I go to:

http://portal.office.com/Adminportal/home

it just redirects me to:

https://portal.office.com/Admin/Default.aspx?switchtoclassic=true#EAdminDefaultPage_AdminHomePageESKU_AdminDashboardPage

Any ideas how I can get back to the new admin portal?

Thanks in advance

Phil

Hi Phil,

Please try the options below to check the outcome:
Option1. In the old admin center, click SERVICE SETTINGS>Updates. Check if it is selected as First Release>Entire organization. If yes, select Standard, after a while, switch back to Entire organization. If not, select Entire organization to see the result.
Note: Please firstly sign out your account and then re-sign in after re-enabling First Release.
Option2. In the First Release enabled situation, check if you can access the preview admin center via this URL https://portal.office.com/AdminPortal/Home?switchtomoderndefault=true#/homepage directly.
Option3.In the First Release enabled situation, can you see the screenshot below? If yes, click the red section to see if you can switch to the preview admin center.

Moreover, you may change to another browser for accessing Office 365 admin center. Check you will be redirected to the old or preview admin center.

Let us know the results when you have time.

Best regards,
Tim

Hi Tim

I've tried everything you suggested but I'm still seeing the old admin center.  Even clicking the link you provided, it just redirects me back to the following URL: https://portal.office.com/Admin/Default.aspx?switchtoclassic=true#EAdminDefaultPage_AdminHomePageESKU_AdminDashboardPage

I've tried in Chrome, IE and Opera but still no change - Screenshot attached of my dashboard.

Is the new admin center a worldwide release now, meaning everyone should have it?

Thanks

Hi

I've tried that also but still no joy :-(

Tried two different admin accounts, still the same.

It's a little annoying as I was enjoying using the new admin center, much better features.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the information in the private message.

I'd like to explain the new admin center preview is rolling out to the customers who have opted into First Release as well as some small business customers.

We checked your tenant domain and found  it was purchased from a third party partner. It is suggested you contact your tenant provider to check if you can switch the old admin center to the new one as they may have different process for it.

Best regards,
Tim

Hi Tim

Thanks for the reply... I did contact them but they said that they don't know when the new portal will be available.  Just weird that I was using it and then it stopped working and reverted back to the old one!

Thanks again for your help... I guess I just have to be patient!!

Regards

Phil
