Access 2010 Runtime -- PDF Output

Does the Access 2010 Runtime include the addin for PDF output?  If not can the 2007 Add-in be used?  If not where is the 2010 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF?

(I had to select the Office 2010 Beta because Office 2010 RTM is not an Office version option.)

Answer

It is easy to test this this feature.

However, I can confirm that Tom's assumption is correct.

So the Access 2010 runtime install by default includes the PDF creating ability.

So no SP updates or additional downloads are needed. No install of 3rd party tools. And in fact, you don't even have to install any kind of PDF printer driver either.

In a nutshell, you can consider PDF creating ability native and baked right into access 2010.

You can create and save reports as PDF (and you don't even have to switch printers or anything to do this in code).

This PDF ability also means that SendObject will launch your email client with the pdf as an attachment. And this feature works for Outlook, Outlook express, Windows Live Mail etc. In fact it should work for any windows mail client you have installed.

So, reports can be saved as PDF's, or emailed as PDF attachemnts, and you can do so without having to install any other software other then the Access 2010 runtime.
