What is your pc's default video adapter?
If your pc has an old video adapter, you could uninstall it from device mgr. and let Microsoft HD video adapter be the default video driver.
You need to run Windows Update troubleshooter to clean out last update process files before you initial build 16176 update again.

Just tried to install build 16176 Goes through the whole process and after restart I'm presented with a blue screen with 2 options: troubleshoot or turn off PC. I turn off PC then restart and goes back to build 16170. Has anyone else seen this issue?
My Surface Pro 4 Tablet has similar issue with failure to install 16176:
- Configuration phase completes.
- Installation phase begins, then fails.
- No Options are presented.
- A message appears: "Restoring your PC to previous version of Windows."

I have an NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M video adapter. I tried the Microsoft HD driver and ran into the same problem with the Blue Screen. I then uploaded the latest driver for my adapter and still no luck. I'm worse off than most of you because I've been stuck on build 15058 for a long time and it has been trying to go to build 15063. Nothing I've tried has helped. What is your pc's default video adapter?

I too have the same problem. It's tried to install about a dozen times now. I've cleaned everything out 3 or 4 times. Uninstalled the 'Other' driver at least 6. Uninstalled the ATI driver set the machine had installed but wasn't actually running. The install stops and asks for a language to use then gives me the 2 options, troubleshoot or turn off. I've tried selecting some of the troubleshooting steps but there's no difference.

I turn off PC then restart and goes back to build 16170. Has anyone else seen this issue?I finally gave up and restored a system image I saved in December. The only problem with doing this was that I lost all of the changes made since then. I had backed up my files daily so was able to restore the important ones. My only fear was that I would be stuck with a really old build and would still have the blue screen. Fortunately the update problem was fixed and I'm on the latest build with no problems. I wish I knew what caused the problem in the first place... I guess I'll never know. I'm going to back up my system image more often so there will be less of a problem if it happens again.
