Hi Alex,

Do people have to use the existing 'store program' to download the latest 'store program' ?

If so, how does that work if they are having issues launching it?

Just wondered..... ;_)

aGHHH !!!!  I sincerely hope it is not the 'Window Store' application - by 'microsoft'  (Search - Window Store) !!!! - the one in barely readable English, complete with spelling mistakes and absolutely no description of what it is or does apart from something about laptops and mobile details and a cost of about 5 dollars ????

Surely not ?

That looks like something made by a bored pre school programmer ?

Seriously - search for 'window store'  and weep.

Yup, by Microsoft,,,,, I suggest you remove that as it is embarrassing - although I HOPE that is not your new 'store - surely, it cannot be. It simply CANNOT be... or, it is April 1st.

I vote the application 'window store' the very worst 'app' ever - and again _ really hope this is not the one YOU are talking about - do a search in the store for it... yikes !!!.

Someone at MS should be shot for that one.....

I am sure yours will be great Alex, but for gawd's sake get rid of that 'window store' abomination - by Microsoft !!!!.

Just took the Cumulative Update--did it contain the Store fix or is that to be downloaded from somewhere else?

Can't find a version number.  Read that MS is trying to fix the store and apps within the next 48 hours.

I have no idea - It would have been useful had 'Alex' explained.

He says it was released 'late last week' but the cumulative update was only released yesterday so I doubt it.

I also find it unusual for MS to quote the 'Microsoft is listening' when it comes to bugs and errors, I thought the 'Microsoft is listening!' was a reflection of the suggestions for IMPROVING windows 10 - whilst it could be argued a bug fix IS an improvement, I think the term should be reserved for NEW features or complete changes, like, for example, a proper start menu, or, a unified control panel, or getting rid of the horrible flat, dull UI. or indeed, making all unwanted 'apps', cortana, edge and other stuff people do not want fully removable.

THAT would prove they are 'listening'

Thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to our attention. Your post is more suitable for the 'Update & recovery’ topic of the Windows 10 forum. I will, however, refer your issue to the Windows Update team for follow-up. Again, we thank you for your continued patience.
