Good afternoon, everyone.
So, here is the problem I am running into: I got L.A. Noire and loaded it up. The game starts fine, and Xbox Live has a popup that says I need to download an update. I download it, system restarts. The screen goes black as the game starts to load....and next thing I know, I am back on the dashboard with an error that my disc can not be read and to try cleaning it.
I check, verify the disc is pristine. Try to reload it to no avail. I toss a disc from a different game, and it will play.
I go in and clear out the cache, restart, and now L.A. Noire loads with no problem, but asking me to download that update for it again. I select "No" and can play the game fine, but I lose half the usefulness of the game because I can't use Xbox live.
This is a very reproducible problem for me.
Has anyone else out there run into this issue at all?
