Mw3 wont play in my xbox

Sadly, I have had the same thing happen with Crysis 2 when it came out on Xbox.  My copy of MW3 freezes and unfreezes quite often.

Maybe try to find a newer box on Craigslist?

My console plays other games like black ops just fine, just not MW3. No I dont have another console to play it in, pretty sure its the xbox reader.

I have the exact same problem. I hadn't used my xbox for about 4 months then went and bought pro evolution 2012, didn't work. So i took it back to the store and got a new disc, same thing. Then MW3 arrived and that doesn't work either, nor does skyrim.

Obviously my xbox has missed an update somewhere along the way, my dvd drive plays all older games FINE but these new format ones it cant read. I am desperate for some help on this issue, how can we update our dvd drive using official MS firmware? I chatted to MS support and they said the new dash will fix this, but im in the beta and his hasnt done squat.

They want you to pay $100 because your xbox is old?

Customer support told me I would have to send it in and get the reader updated for 99+$ thru them or go buy another one. I think its ridiculous that I have to spend money to play a Xbox 360 game in my Xbox 360 console. You would think that the heads of the console and game industries might figure out how to work with each other

It has to do with latest MS security. Anti Piracy 2.5 should only affect users that are using burnt discs on Xbox Live. But sadly you honest customers are being affected now too.

All the pirates are in distress now that their burnt discs aren't playing anymore! Lol so much fun to read.

Something about MS silently updating a set of challenges, that are being requested from your disc drive.

Hey all! If you are having issues with your disc reading, please start with our Disc Drive troubleshooter (support.xbox.com/.../disc-drive-wizard). If that doesn't help, please try getting a replacement copy from the retailer. Can I get support that isn't a canned message about the disc reader? My xbox wont play MW3!!
