I have connected my HD pay TV service to my xboxone and have noticed slight blurring and graininess. Is this by design or is my system broken?

Hi Freebeema, this is definitely not by design.
What's the make and model of your set top box? Can you try setting it to 720p instead of 1080i? Non-interlaced content generally works better with Live TV on Xbox One.

Tried this and it is still grainy. Setup to box is MyStarGold (australian).

Hi,
I'm in US. Cable provider is Time Warner. Cable box is Cisco 8742HDC. I'm having the same issue. Game and console looks great. HD Cable channels look very degraded.

Same here, black levels not looking good. USA Comcast X1 cable box. The HDMI pass through is not correctly display the full color gamut

Its the equivalent of foxtel hd. Just a different branding. Is there any issues with the cable box running at 50hz? And hanks heaps for your help!
