COD goes to black screen on Xbox one

Can anyone help with this?

I have been playing COD: Ghost for months now, but suddenly when it loads on Xbox one, it shows the Man's face with the ski mask,  then goes to a black screen where it says syncing data, then it becomes all black screen and goes no further which seems like eternity. I had to switch the game off eventually. I tried unistalling and re-installing the game; also had the shop give me a new disk then uninstall and re-install but still no fix. I tried calling activision support line on the phone but was on hold for 1 1/2 hrs so had to hang up.

Does anyone know how to fix this please?

Happened to me I call support. They had me pull the Kinect and power cord out the back of the xbox for about 30 seconds. After the 30 seconds plug it in and mine was ready to go and works again :)

You don't have to pull the Kinect cord, just take the power cord out of the xbox or unplug it completely from your outlet and let it sit a minute or so. It hard resets the system, clears the cache etc, and will almost always work after the hard reboot.

Good luck and this should seriously be a sticky as it shows up every few days.

Hard reset/pulling the power cord has not solved this problem. Anyone else seriously frustrated?

as kd6666 stated, u must do a 'hard' reset which is to press and hold the power button on the

console for about 5 seconds until the power light goes off.. then unplug the power cord from the brick

for about 10 seconds.. replug power cord.. turn power back on and that should get it. Turning the console off by just tapping the power button or powering down with the controller will NOT work, you

must press and hold. This trick is also good to use if your xbox one is acting strange on anything it does.

If the hard reset doesn't work try this : Start your Xbox One, do not log in with your live account. Start the game, it should load. It will prompt you to log in and it should work ok once you do.
