Even if you bought a us code and have a us account you still need to live in the us

No, the gamestop guy told me that it would work as I have an AMERICAN xbox account, even though I told him I live in the middle east.

if you had downloaded it to your xbox while in the US it is fine

but if you try and download it to another xbox its a region lock issue

i can personally tell you i been in a US gamestop

the sign siting infront of the counter says for US addresses ONLY

btw dlc codes only check for if you have the correct region accounts that why you were able to redeem the code

however THE DLC is region locked which is why they do a final check for bypasses at 99%

normally if you try and purchase the content with MS points you would be blocked before purchase
