Camping or Tactical defense?

To say the least I am a predominantly run'n'gunner, I have no patience for sitting still and play with 2 other players of similar gaming styles.  We're not great but hold our own against a lot of amateurs like us. Now I declare camping to be sitting in the same room down scope and a betty/claymore on one door and not moving.  Thats my opinion.  However of late I have been accused of camping:

Lets pick a map "Underground" I throw down a motion sensor under the bridge at the back (lower side of the map).  I then move between the office, window and the outside ledge to cover 3 points of **** and a large area of the map minimising the chance of being flanked (but not enitrely.  And rack up a pretty decent score (I play FFA and TDM) whilst supporting teammates from these positions.  Of late this strategy has come under fire and I wondered what the communities opinion is? Discuss please

That's not camping at all. This is how I see it.

Camping: Sitting in a random obscure corner waiting for someone to walk by.

Tactical Defensive Mode: Holding down an area on the map.

I was playing on a silver account for the free gold week-end. Hadn't played MW3 on that account, so I had no "blind-eye", "assassin pro", etc. Seems like every map I got into, the "kiddies" were placing, betty's, claymores, etc. in all entrances, then sitting in their cozy corner with the heat-detection guns. Kill cam is great in this game. Now THAT"s camping. OP, don't worry about it.......

What everyone calls camping I just call fair play. Not like they get a weapon spawning in that area.
If you are going to let whiners dictate how you should play the game, you play right into their pathetic, needing people to play how they expect so they feel their skill is validated, ways. No offense at all, but be a man and do as you feel. They didnt buy your game...or did they?

Ironically one of them did buy me the game (aka brother) lol, but I've never changed my style of play and this traces back to COD4, maps dictate the style of play. But its just started grinding on me as its become much more common, that I wondered others opinions on the matter.  I know there are whiners who play the game, hell I have enough "WTF" moments myself but if your dumb enough to keep comin after me in a semi-secure location thats your dumb fault stop crying to me that I have "a broken left stick" or that "you have legs use em" because you cant crawl back inside your cave for the rest of the map!
That is exactly it. And that is why I never complained about spawn tubes in SND in MW games. They all hit in the same areas, and people will still run there with their fingers crossed hoping they dont die, but scream NOOB TUBER when they did. Idiots dont influence my game, only my K/D.

weither it be tactical or camping it doesn't matter its always been a part of the game since day 1 and since people spent their hard earned $60+ on the game they can do whatever they want its that simple.

So right on. Good camping is hard anyway.  So many ways you can die.

You were camping...not that there is anything wrong with that...it's a legitimate tactic.

.

Just don't fool yourself by denying it.
