Removing parental control over a Gold Family member

Hi all,

My wife & I (and kids) use a Gold Family subscription for Xbox Live. My Windows Live ID is the primary account. We noticed a couple odd behaviors with my wife's account (not being able to use Hulu without permission, not being able to listen to explicit music on Windows Phone) even though her settings under Family Center are "Adult" (content and explicit content are not blocked.)

I believe this how-to page has the answer in the section "Remove parental control over a Gold Family Pack member." http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-live/how-to/family-pack/managing-family-members.aspx. But, it says under "Family Center" there is a "Remove From Family" option. There are two options here, "Grant Allowance" and "Remove From Gold Family Pack", but no third option. (It's odd; I do remember seeing an option like that some time ago.)

The previous section of this document has screenshots that confirm what I'm seeing... there isn't such an option.

What gives? Is there another way to go about this?

Thanks, Wade

This thread is very old and the OP hasn't posted back in a while, so I would suggest creating a new thread detailing what you're experiencing and any troubleshooting steps you've already tried. That way we can cater our support specifically to you! Thanks!
