No 30 days free gold trial - new xbox client

Hello,

 

 

     I just bought today my first xbox360 and surprise surprise. No gold account for my first 30 days as my xbox vendor advised me. Have only bad experiences today since i bought this console. Any ideeas? This is my account i created for my xbox console i just unpacked it.

Is it a brand new console or has it been used? If it was used then the free trials may be used up.

It's easy to miss though. You have to create the account on the console and during the account creation it asks if you want to join live. Say yes and it lists the options for purchasing gold, but that the bottom it says "upgrade later". Once you choose upgrade later, it'll give you the free trial.
