Before any one says anything about me not knowing what im talking about, i am very network literate. i know how to configure routers and i know how to set up home networks
So anyway, here's my problem
Since december of 2007 ive had my xbox and ive never had any problems connecting to live from my house,
as of december 2010, my nephew, in the same house, got a new slim 360 so he could play his while i played mine. immediately after this happened i saw conflicts constantly.
My problem mostly being that for some reason its to hard for them to plug a cord into the wall so they INSIST on using wireless. That being said I HATE WIRELESS, because it causes so many problems all the time. So this is what happened
He'll connect and his nat type is moderate. Normal, due to the fact that he's wireless running on an encrypted wireless router. When just I connect, using good old cat5 ethernet cables ran directly into the router/modem, i have : nat type open. And heres where it gets annoying, if I connect, then he connects it kicks me off. when i resign back in i have Strict nat. This has driven me up the wall for the past 9 months and im sick of it.
If anyone has any ideas to help fix this id really like to hear from you
p.s. i have tried uPNP and DMZ and Static nat and Port forwarding.
