changing gamer tag to capital letters

Regarding your issue, currently the only way to accomplish this is to do as you mentioned, change it to something else then change back. We apologize for the inconvenience.  

so its 1600 microsoft points to change my gamer tag thats not whats advertised. false advertisement i think is illegal and if you want to argue that im only changing the appearance then it shouldt cost me anything because id be changing its appearance not the gammer tag it self. can you please explain to me why some one at microsoft cant change it manually why is it so hard to just point and click    

it is not false advertisement captilization in cloud is does not change a name

so you do need to change it to something else before you reenter it

if you want to change the caps thats is USER error

before you click enter you should review your name

I think they should just remove the pay to change gamertag system, merely because we already pay for getting onto xbox live,we obviously have to pay for the games to buy and play them, and then if there is a DLC pack e.g Call of duty map packs and many others and then we have to pay to change our gamertag is well, and im aware of changing it once for free but what if people joins clans and then quit or get kicked and then join others , then cant possibly do that without paying or buying MS points, this is bad for miscrosoft's own self merely because xbox users are getting ripped off of of there money and for example kids, their parents have to work hard on there jobs and come back home only to find their kids crying, whining and shouting about getting their new xbox DLC pack or changing their gamertags, well im pretty sure that parents and other xbox users will get frustrated of this and then leave and stop playing xbox, which will leave microsoft out of buisness .
