Can't Connect

My Xbox wont connect to my internet i have my plug, plugged in and it say's when i try to test connection under wireless, ** to us a wired connection, make sure an Ethernet cable is connected to both your console and your router or modem.** I had my Network company come in and check it out *AT&T* come in to check this out because my wire is plugged in my xbox and my router so im stuck atm and im not sure what to do, my i have like a 3 month on my xbox so it's not out of membership or nothing they suggest me buyying a wireless adapter but im not sure when i plug my wire into my computer it get's connection? isn't that weird but when i plug it into my xbox it dosn't? i need help if you have any idea whats going on post under this. :(

So your Xbox is not recognizing the ethernet cable plugged into it? Have you tried a different ethernet cable? If you connect another device (laptop, etc) to this cable, does it work?
