Hello, apologies but once an Xbox LIVE account has been created, it can not be deleted.  Thanks! :)

well it can be deleted off your system but NOT off of the Live servers.

so if i delete my profile of my xbox i can redownload it

To delete your account off your Xbox 360, please follow these instructions:

1. Go to your Xbox 360

2. Skip the sign in, you can do this by pressing B on your controller

3. Scroll right until you get to the settings page

4. Click onto 'Storage'

5. Click onto 'Memory'

6. Click onto 'all storages'

7. Click onto 'Profiles and accounts'

8. Select the Gamer profile you wish to remove from your Xbox 360

This will remove your Xbox Live Account from the Xbox 360. If it is an Xbox Live account, it will  not delete the account all together, it will just remove it from the Xbox 360. You can still download your Xbox Live Account in the future. However if you do not sign into your account for more than 365 days, the account will be deleted from the system, and the gamertag will be available for someone else to use.

If you are deleting a non Xbox Live account (an account that is not connected to the Xbox Live service), once deleted, its gone and you can not get it back, unless it was stored onto a other storage device like a USB ect..
