4000 MPs

So here is my problem:

My xbox live account was made in canada(the location is canada and you cannot change it) but I recently moved across the border to the US, and I bought a 4000 MP card. Now I for one never read whats on the card because its pretty simple to know what to do with the card and how to redeem it, but missed the part where you cannot add MP purchased in the US, on a canadian account and vice versa, but you can add gold membership with a card purchased anywhere. I really dont get why it is like that. I talked to xbox support and they cant help me, or give me 4000 points and make the card invalid, and i bought them at best buy, who cannot redeem me for my money back because the card is scratched already(which is stupid, how am I supposed to know it wouldnt work unless I scratched it)

Now I am stuck with a 4000 MP card that is scratched, and am willing to sell it to someone who can get me 4000 MP that will work on my xbox. If you are interested please email me *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

please note that the card is already scratched, and we would need some sort of middle man for the transaction to work because I dont want to be accused of trying to cheat someone out of their money.

not allowed to trade. only 1400 & 2800 exist in canada. just order them online next time. take the hit this time.

Just create a US silver account and add the 4000 points to this new account. Whatever you purchase using those points will be available to all profiles on the console - even the Canadian account. It doesn't matter if the card is scratched, it hasn't been redeemed therefore it will add 4000MSP to a US account only unless some kid guessed the numbers on your card - but that's highly unlikely.

Problem solved.

Wow, just wow.  Unbelievable!  

I've got to first say that I love my XBox and the XBox Live service but find this to be ridiculous.  

Check out the "My XBox" menu at the top of the screen and click on "Accounts," scroll down a bit and see the "Manage Accounts Region" and click that choice.  I keep getting the "Oooops, you've found a glitch in the Matrix/system" message after trying it more than once but, apparently you are allowed to change you're XBox region setting once a year.  The bad news is that this only works for approximately eight other regions that XBox Live is available in and the kicker is.......they are not places that I'd ever consider moving to for any reason whatsoever.  

*FACEPALM*  Really?!?!?!?!?  I mean, REALLY REALLY?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You could add the xbox points on a silver account and to a file transfer and get your microsoft points on your gold account
