12m gold prepaid card problem

I just tried to activate my gold status with a prepaid 12m gold card...

I went in the xbox.com site and from then folow the steps..

Code was valid...congratulation mail arives in mail...and my account is still "free" and "silver"...

My question is..i did something wrong o i jus need to call ms and start asking questions?

When you add time on the website there is a delay before it shows up on the console. It can last hours, but you can speed up the process by either testing your connection or recovering your account.
