windows live essentials 2012

All of my windows live essentials 2012 programs cannot be opened after I download and installed...

Always state your Internet Explorer version (e.g., IE8; IE9; IE10; IE11) as well as your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; WinXP 64-bit SP2; Vista 32-bit SP1; Vista 64-bit SP2; Win7 32-bit; Win7 64-bit SP1; Win8 32-bit; WinRT; Win RT 8.1; Win8.1 64-bit) when posting in a forum.  Please do so in your next reply.

Did you just install Windows (Live) Essentials 2012 or were you prompted to upgrade to Windows (Live) Essentials 2012 build 16.4.3522.0110?

ok, you say windows live messenger is no longer supported..... then why does filehippo.com have an update for it ?. I thought they dropped it for Skype ?.

PS: Yes, I know that Messenger's still offered when installing Windows Essentials 2012 QFE3 (build 16.4.3522.0110). Who knows why (or if Skype's installed instead or if Messenger later "upgrades" itself to Skype)?
