Why can't open any of my Libraries in Windows 8. Error message

Every time I double click anything in my libraries (documents, pictures, music, or videos) a message comes up saying "Pictures.library-ms is no longer working. This library can be safely deleted from your computer. Folder that have been included will not be affected" What happened?

Answer

Hi TessSmith,

Thank you for opting Windows 8.

It looks that you are getting error when you try to access anything under the libraries folder.

Please follow the steps to restore default libraries in Windows 8

a)  Open Windows Explorer, right-click on the library and choose Delete.
b)  Click ‘Yes’ when asked for confirmation.

Note: Deleting a library does not delete the contents of the included folders. However, you may need to re-add or include your folders manually, if needed.

c)  Then, in the navigation pane of Windows Explorer, right-click Libraries and click Restore default libraries.

After you delete the library you need to recreate the library.  This recreates the library that was deleted earlier. This option only restores the default libraries.

I hope this resolves your issue, please write to us if you still have this issue.
