Gmail error code 007

How can I resolve gmail error code #007?

Is this with webmail or an email client?
If client does your anti virus have an email scanner which scans as it downloads? If so try disabling it.

If browser try a different one or try to clear out Chrome's cache.

I have had the #007 OOPS code for two days. It was working fine last week. I can not reply to or forward mail. I also can not create new messages to send. I tried cleaning my web browser of cookies but it still won't work. Help

I tried everything, history cleaning, chrome cleaner kits, registry checkups and repairs, checking extensions, turning off my antivirus software checking for conflicts, etc.. Error #007 (Oops...retrying) seems to only affect my gmail on my home computer and not my phone or other computers or other websites.

DO NOT CALL the numbers offered online as those are scams. Furthermore the PC repair kits, etc. are ALL, I repeat ALL are malware programs. There are even sites that look like it's google, but they are not. There is no number to contact for help.

In conclusion, it's a virus. For some reason my antivirus software won't detect it, but it's a virus that will try to get you to call those numbers or download those weird cleaning programs offered online b/c you are like me looking for a solution and frustrated, which are of course the way hackers and spammers to get into your gmail and computer.

The only solution is to do a system reset. You have the option in Windows 10 to preserve your files which is okay to do. After I did the system reset, the problem went away. I also, changed all my passwords to my gmail accounts, and also did a system restore point in case this happens again. The only challenging part is that you have to download programs again like Microsoft word, your antivirus software, etc.

I worked on this for three days, and even got the assistance of a computer tech person. We tried every possible solution to remedy the situation. I did all the suggestions (looked at hundreds of websites) offered by people. I noticed too how there were many videos on youtube and weird websties that offered cleaning programs, and strange phone numbers that were not from the US, which made me conclude that this is a virus, and was planted there. I believe it was from a spam mail I transferred to my inbox thinking it was safe and opened a few days ago.

I've just had this issue (within Firefox).  I disabled 'Avast email signature' within my Avast setup, and the problem was fixed.

Just had the same problem and thought it might be related to the malware, as well, but after cleaning with CCleaner, there was still the same problem, and thought there might be a link in the text that gmail was not wanting to send, so copied the text and left out the links and it went through smoothly.... you might also want to leave out any Avast links as the other fellow below noted....

This also worked for me, but what a pain.  There must be a better solution, as sometimes you do want to email a link to someone.
