Unable to Delete Temporary Files in my Windows 10 pc

I am having this problem as well. Run the tool and absolutely nothing gets removed.

Also having the problem of not being able to delete all temporary internet files.

Maybe the two problems are related.

after the latest windows update, still have this issues

the temporary files getting bigger and bigger

First it started with not deleting Temporary Internet Files (and they are adding up daily)

Now, when I run Disc Cleanup, not only will it not remove those Temporary Internet Files, I have a pile of Temporary Files not being removed.

Tried Disc Cleanup, Tried the "Storage" method and NADA!.

Same behavior as Temporary Internet Files, Show Hidden Files Checked, Hide Protected Unchecked and the folders are Empty even though Disc Cleanup and "Storage" are reporting them getting larger and larger everyday.

This is a CLEAN install of Windows 10, not an Upgrade. There are no Windows.Old to be calculated into the mix.

MS escalated it and I'm expecting a call Aug 28th and if they fix it, I will let you know how.

I d/l CCleaner and it works fine I know it's not the best way seeing as how windows should be able to do it's own file cleanup but oh well.

I have the same problem.

I have spent 4 plus hours with Microsoft Tech support and received no help.

At the end they did "TRY" to sell me an upgrade.

Other people are having this problem.

It is in the Disk Cleanup Utility programing.

Not part of the internet explorer options effort.

I have files in the temporary file "file" and in the temporary internet file "file" that will not delete.

They (the contractor tech support) tried for over 4 hours they even "elevated it to senior tech support"

didn't work there either.

I am looking for a windows 10 update that will "mysteriously" make the issue go away.

MS remote assistance and escalation call were so unable to even understand the problem that I was consistently told that I know more than they do..... SERIOUSLY NOT JOKING.

Now I do know my stuff, I am certified and all (A+, N+, SEC +, MCSE) but one would have to think that those working for MS would have a better understanding of the problem than an outsider.

Quite frankly, they didn't even understand the problem as I showed it to them remotely.

I hate to be that guy but...outsourcing. Lowest paid support gets lowest grade support.

I have a fix for the temporary internet files not getting deleted, it's a bit of a dirty work around but it does work, does not harm your Win 10 install but you can't use IE11 or Edge. Has to be Chrome or Firefox.

I am working on a fix for the temporary files but that could take a while
