Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adaptor not working

Hi, According to Device manager the Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adaptor is not working. There's a yellow exclamation marl against it. Under Properies, Device status says This device cannot start. (Code 10). Removing and re-installing the device does not solve the problem. It just re-appears. Any help gratefully received. Thanks. Stoker.

Here's what worked for me.  It's in the windows knowledge base.  Sorry i didn't get the number.

In the start menu search bar type in REGEDIT to open the registry editor.  Navigate through the following:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\TCPIP6\PARAMETERS.  In the right pane, right click Disabled Componets and select edit.  Set the DWord value to 0.  Restart your computer and the teredo tunneling adapter will now start.

Iwas trying to join my exsisting homegroup and was getting a IPv6 not enabled message.  I had a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager and under devices and printers in the start menu my computer icon had a yellow exclamation mark also.  It all went away and I was able to join my homegroup without a problem.

Good luck to all.  Try this. Its easy and it works.

Hi Auggy.

Before your last reply I decided to Re-install the operating system from the Acer recovery suite.
This proceeded successfully.

Now the only items showing in Device Manger under Network Adaptors are Broadcom NetLink Ethernet
and the Intel WiFi Link. No reference to Teredo.

However I have used the Cmd window using
ipconfig /all
netsh interface teredo show state

I attach the read outs below for you to see.

To my inexpert eye it looks as though Teredo is there and ready to be used. Certainly there is no
mention of it being disabled, or unavailable.

What do you think?
