I had to reinstall Windows. Then perform updates. The system appears to be working. I lot of time invested in repairing the latest update.

I finally have it working again.  I  used the "3 times ON then OFF technique."  At first i was not successful as i think i was waiting too long between the ON and the OFF.  I then tried it again with only about 10 seconds in between the ON and OFF.  It did not work the first time but it did the second time.  Once it booted up and i entered the pin, i just let it take it's time to do what ever it needed to do. It seems to be working as before.  Good Luck!

This new update caused no sound to output from my usb headphones. After going to the control panel sound settings to disable and re-enable my headphones, restarting my computer several times, and going to the system sound settings to confirm that my headphones were the default input and output device, there is still no sound emanating from my headphones. Oh, I also tried troubleshooting my headphones like five times. Thanks Microsoft.

  1. Having major issues related to virtualization enabled after upgraded to Windows 10 version 2004 KB4566782.
  2. I got BSOD when boot into Windows (at login screen), it complaint about acpi.sys error.

I did find out what caused this error. When I disabled Intel Virtualization Technology in BIOS, it's working as usual. When I enable it back, when boot into Windows will get BSOD error again, the BSOD appear when Windows loaded into login screen

Disabling Intel Virtualization Technology in BIOS allow me to use the machine as usual but as a developer I cannot work without WSL2. Hence it's a an issue to me.

2. The sound is not working. The drivers are there but it said no output device has been detected.

3. In BIOS, enabled Intel Virtualization Technology and disabled Intel VT-d feature, I am not able to boot into Windows. It got stuck at boot screen.

I've uninstalled KB4566782 and thing back to normal. Initially I thought it's Thinkpad X390 issue, however uninstalled the KB the machine work as usual, I guess it's related to this latest patch.
