downloaded outlook e-mail to my android phone, each time that I open the outlook mail app', I see a message stating, "please wait while we download your messages.

I recently downloaded outlook e-mail to my android phone.  I've set up all of my e-mail accounts, tested them and they all work fine.  Here's the problem: each time that I open the outlook mail app', I see a message stating, "please wait while we download your messages. This may take awhile".

It's now been hours and hours and nothing has changed.  I can get to my messages via checking e-mails individually but I still get this message when I open the app.  Any ideas out there?

I have the same / a similar issue on my Samsung S7.

Currently I have 4 email accounts configured in Outlook

In case I set the view to all accounts I get the wait for download message, always, never worked.

Once I set the view to one of the individual email accounts I see my email, at least most of the time. Sometimes, I also get wait for download message for a few hours. works.

Whats interesting is that when I search for emails they all show up in the search dialog, means all emails are there but just not shown. > This doesn't look like configuration issues to me but more like a bug.

By the way, this very setup works fine on my iPad.

Thanks

TZ

The problem is in the system which the app uses to update the list of e-mail in the incoming folder.

Try sending an e-mail to the account you manage through Outlook for Android. When the e-mail arrives the updating system goes out of the freeze ... and you get back the list of e-mails in the incoming folder back.

This problem does not happen with Microsoft and Gmail.

I hope someone will soon solve the issue.

Hi, I got my OnePlus 3T yesterday and have configured 6 accounts on Outlook app. I am getting exactly the same message. It is quite important for me to stick to outlook but this issue is annoying!
Any help?
