Outlook 2007 closes when I close an e-mail

Lately (since last patch update) when I am viewing an e-mail in full screen and I click the X in the upper right hand corner to close it, Outlook closes also. Does anyone know of a fix for this? It's very frustrating to have to keep opening OUtlook everytime I close an individual e-mail.

That is because you clicked the Max. button while you were still on Outlook MAIN window.
If you want to view any particular e-mail in full screen ...
DOUBLE click on the message, a new window will appear. That is called opening the message ON ITS OWN WINDOW.
Now, click the MAX. button on THAT window.
When done reading, click X and you are back to the main window.
