How do I delete the email account associated with a 365 account?

Hello Davepmann,

 

From your description, does it mean that this email account as an alias added to that Office 365 account? If so, the admin can remove the alias in the Admin Center.

 

Or, if this email account as a Mail User/ Contact added to this Office 365? For your reference: 

Manage mail users

Manage mail contacts

 

Also, if this email account is an office 365 account? Please see: Delete a user from your organization. Note: Please backup the data if needed because the data only stored for 30 days after deleting the email account.
