How do you save DLC and or an account on your XBOX? I mean, if my box RROD, would I lose all my DLC and M$ points, etc? I think the new COD Elite will "back up" or save stuff, but is this what it includes? Or what if I purchase a new box, how do I get my account and DLC to that? We'll all need to save info and switch over if a new box 720 ever comes out, right? How do we do this? Thanks all, discuss. All tips appreciated.

I would assume all you would have to do is recover your gt on your new xbox.
I dont think you would need cod elite. You may have to redownload the dlc, but I believe all that other info would come with recovering your gt.

Hmmm, so everything is kept/stored through Xbox Live? M$ points, gamer score, proof of purchased DLC, etc...?

Everything is stored through the Xbox LIVE servers. Microsoft Points bind to your WLID, gamerscore binds to your gamertag (which cannot be deleted), any downloaded content you have; movies, music, DLC for games, gamer pics, themes, etc. is all binded to your WLID and gamertag. If your Xbox got the RROD or RDOD, then when you recover your gamertag on your new console, you can go to the Manage Account section of your Xbox and select Download History. From there, you can choose what you want to download and re-download it. Hope this helped.

I did this when I got my new hard drive after I had deleted some stuff to make room. Re-downloaded games I forgot I even bought. It's very slick. Under account and download history you'll find everything.

everything you have purchased will always be available for re-download as long as its still available on the marketplace. also you can go to item in the marketplace and just re-download it, or as the guy above me stated the download history.
