I just bought a brand new 4GB 360. While playing Halo Reach, I can't play online Firefight or Co-op Campaign because it says that I do not have a hard drive. I have the internal hard drive plus an external flash drive. I've tried using both. My xbox recognizes both in and out of game. I'm not sure what to do.

You need the 250GB hard drive rather than the internal one. The internal one is only flash memory rather than a proper hard drive.

While playing on other older xboxes I had no trouble using my flash drive. Is that because it was because of the flash drive and the big hard drive?

it was because you had a hard drive in your older 360 as long as it is a REAL (non knock off) any 20, 60, 120, and 250 gig hard drives attached to the older 360s would allow for old gen xbox games to work. sorry you have only one option, buy the 250 gig drive and install it inside your 4 gig slim.

I've got the 250gig and I can't play either, i've tried black ops, Halo Reach, Halo 3, no multiplayer available, and yes i've got x-box Live Gold sub, i've turned off the parental settings etc... and yes I a connected. Console gaming just sucks really bad, espacially X-Box Live. What a waste of time and money. Any suggestions welcome, but i'm guessing no one will have the answer.

Bangcity, when and where did you purchase the HDD from? And have you had a chance to try the games with a different HDD, such as a friend's?
