I didn't even know my XBL account and my parent's bank account were linked (maybe through paypal, but I don't think my parent's paypal is linked to this account either), but I was notified about a seemingly random $9.99 charge on the bank account that occurred today. I haven't turned on my console since midway through the third week of April. Anyone have any idea of what that could be?

A seemingly random charge of $9.99 came out of my parent's bank account.

additional info: It came out May 29th, and for a description it has something like this: "D/C SETTLEMENT MICROSOFT *XBOX LIVE LOC: 800-386-5550 WA"

you might want to visit: billing.microsoft.com , and also check the payment method on your profile on your Xbox under account management.

Sounds like an automatic 1 month LIVE charge. You can turn off auto-renewal on your account by calling phone support in your region.

I thought that a charge from a credit card is the same as a bank account? There's no way it would charge your bank account directly without a credit card on file.
