XBOX Series X Controller keeps disconnecting

Hey guys,

Got a weird situation in my hands and i can't find a solution.

I recently bought an XBOX Series X controller to use on my XBOX One. All games that are for XBOX One work normally. When i load Assassins Creed Valhalla though the controller keeps connecting and disconnecting on its own. So for example, within 10 seconds it connects and disconnects about 5 times which makes the game unplayable.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Thank you in advance

Same issue here. Bought the blue shock controller yesterday, everything works fine except for Valhalla. I can only get past the main menu.  After that, it kept disconnecting and reconnecting.

I. Followed the YouTube liklnk above worked for me.

Take battery out of controller, Hold X button on console for few seconds to lower off. Take out poweread for few second. Turn console back on. Put battery back in controller. And re pair the controller with the button on side of controller and one on front of console 👌

This is happening to me ALL the time with the supplied black controller and the storm blue.

Tried repositioning Xbox.

Having to pull power out of the back of the unit on a frequent basis.

NOT good at all.

The only solution is to repair and I'm doing it ALL the time.

Never had this problem with the Xbox One X.

Poor, poor, poor.

Same problem here. Usually happens when dropping into Warzone and a few times in the beginning of looting. I dont know if its related to the CPU dropping the connection while loading or not. Its only a matter of time before it happens and ruins the game for me. Fix this!

I am having the same issue. The only way to fix it is to rest the whole xbox. Need to have this figured out ASAP

Just started happening to me yesterday as well. Series X console.

Gen 1 elite controller randomly disconnecting, lagging, being unresponsive. Tried the controller that came with the X, won't connect.

I eventually grabbed a cord and wired my Elite to my XSX, which seemed to work.

BUT, XSX would not power off when done playing, kept turning back on. Had to eventually unplug it. It was also warmer than typical.

I suspect a software update is causing an issue, as everything had been working great for the 5 days previous
