I have never had problems with Xbox Live until recently when I had an upgrade in broadband package. I am with BT, package is Infinity, fibre optic, BT HomeHub3.
The download speed is roughly 35mb, and when tested wirelessly on pc its usually 17mbps. Upload 8mbps.
What keeps happening is I will turn xbox on, search for a game in call of duty eg. and find a game fine. If i leave after 1 game and go to search again it won't find any and then when I got to the dashboard I will be given the error message code: 8007274c, or 73-8007274c. I don't what what it is or what it means.
I have got upnp enabled, port forwarding xbox live with correct ports from the support site.
I have set the IP to static so it doesn't change and affect port forwarding.
If I become host, the connection will be good for ages and then randomly the connection will slowly degrade over 20-30seconds until it lags out and ends the session.
I have reset modem and router a few times. Had these issues for about a week now.
Xbox Live will randomly disconnect at times. Sometimes I cannot connect to friends chat party. If I test connection on dashboard there will show no errors and I can join parties and games for a minute after the test connection, after that time period it goes back to how it was.
Also I have noticed that when connection to xbox live (wirelessly with xbox slim) my connection is 802.11g not 802.11n, and my router is transmitting on b,g and n so why isn't my console connected to "n"? I have a strong 3 bar out of 4 signal and the router is 2 floors down.
Run out of ideas. I don't know if this is an issue I need to contact my ISP about or not.
This is very long but I thought the most detail I put, the easier it should be to advise me?
Please HELP! Thanks
