strange things are a foot

Aside from turning it off at the socket once you have switched off the console I'm not sure what to suggest.

do you have back ground download on ?, and grey, i think what he means is some time when u turn off the xbox, it acts like it downloading something when u have nothing to download...i had this happen to me, i think 2 things, one the background download is on when the console is off, or that it trying cool it self down after a long session of gaming

This happens to me too. I just give it a few seconds then it switches itself off.

it seems to happen more and more everyday im now having to turn it off at the wall switch so i know its off but i shouldn't have to lol..

it never goes off standby unless i turn it off..

but i have had it since 2009 and its only just started doing this lol

i think it would be trying cool it self off...since u have the old model of the 360, yea, ur likey going to run into problems, i had that with all my old 360 before i had the new slim 360, all the old 360 do that, i would turn it off after an hour or few hours of gaming, and power brick would stay green, and console would act like it downloading..i think your going have to get used to it because it going happens alot..if i was you, i would sell it to get the new slim xbox before the old 360 console give u more problems...getting the slim xbox would save u the trouble.

@RagMan85 Do you keep you controller connected to the console via play n' charge kit. It may stay on to charge the controller. This is what happens to me, but I disconnect the play n' charge kit before it turns off so it wont do this.
