Rage

At the moment i just see it as a Borderlands clone without the loot. Is there co-op for this? If it wasn't for the co-op in Borderlands i don't think i would've got through it all.

I really do like the the look of this game, co op or not...personally I don't like a co op dependancy on a game, borderlands was pretty good solo IMO.

I'm definitely getting this... id tech 5 engine is sup[posed to be effing amazing, and the gameplay mechanics with the different tribes/gangs and stuff looks awesome.  The gadgets and whatnot also look like they will be fun, but I'm not sure on the look of the guns - not that thats really a big deal.

I'm getting it for sure. I remember how all the journos went nuts for it at E3 2010. The screens don't look as groundbreaking as you would expect, but I reckon it will be quality. And what Mokylock said, the graphics are meant to be wicked yo :D

I read a preview of this is a mag... probably Gameinformer a while ago and it was when the hype for crysis was at its pre-release height.  The journo said that he had seen Crysis2 the day before and been blown away by the quality of the graphics, then was astonished to find the next day that Rage put crysis to shame on the visual side.  Being a fan of crysis, and also impressed by the quality of the looks, I'm really interested to see how good rage looks.

All the vids Ive seen are crazy impressive, and the whole "locked in at 60fps" thing has me pretty excited.

Anyone seen the vids on Prey 2 yet?  I know its OT but also a game that loks pretty impressive visually, though i think it would be better having a different title, since it bears no resemblance to the original in any way.

Back OT, the wingstick looks way OP but i dont give a toss... it'll be fun cuttng heads off with a three sided boomerang in future post apocalypty world.  Cant wait.  Not at all fussed about the MP though... SP and Co-op only for me on this one methinks.

I think you will really need that wing stick on the harder difficulties. The latest video I have seen gets pretty hectic enemy wise where the player is using mind control, a turret and the spider bot to take on enemies. They didnt do themselves any favours with the first game play video as it gave the impression it was a borderlands clone but the footage I have seen since it looks like it goes above and beyond borderlands.

I am not fussed about online although I think there is an online aspect with the cars / racing and even better is the co-op is an extension of the single player story where you play as characters in co-op from the story. I cant wait for this game, may even pre order it.

I have not seen any prey 2 as I did not like prey but may check it out after your comment they are nothing alike

Nothing is going to be 'locked at 60fps'...well, not unless your hardware is capable of twice the framerate. In which case, it'd be hobbling your PC's capabilities. Certainly, I'd be expecting the 360 version to chug hard, in places. I really can't see that engine running 100% smoothly on the obsolete hardware in the 360.

That said, it's a mighty good looking game, but I'm thinking only my PC is going to do it justice. There will have to be some compression and framerate issues on consoles. I'm willing to bet that's a given.

Have you seen the 7 minute gameplay vid of Far Cry 3, Moky? That looks set to take Rage on, visually and probably slap it around, a bit.

Yeah I must say I was impressed by the look of farcry 3.  Personally, the post apocalyptic slighty sci fi feel / look of rage appeals to me more, but I there are few things in this world as motivational as having a crazy south american with a mohawk and a fetish for drowning people as your nemesis.

The reviews are making me think twice, but I always wanted to play the original and I thought the reviews for Duke were a bit off. There are some things that seem like they'd be enjoyable; not least of which would be the story and setting.
